Alabama Community College System Starts New Student-Centered Website

The Alabama Community College System has started their new student-centered website to offer improved access to information on education and training.

In addition, the website will offer information about the communities surrounding Alabama’s 24 community colleges.

“The Alabama Community College System is laser-focused on the student experience and it only makes sense that our website should match that mission,” said system chancellor Jimmy H. Baker.

Through the new website, students and visitors will be able to obtain: information on how to apply/register for classes, student activities, register for career training, housing options, information about tuition and other fees, a “Find Your Career” page that gives insight into available jobs throughout the state, a digital career coach and information about technical training required for jobs like certificates and credentials, according to a WSFA release.

Community colleges under the Alabama Community College System are found in over 130 locations that benefit over 168,000 Alabama residents. The system works to provide students with an affordable education and technical training to help make them competitive in today’s workforce.
