NORMAL — Starting this spring, parents taking evening classes at Heartland Community College will have child care services on campus.
Heartland’s Youth Evening Care program will be available for children ages 5 to 13 whose parents are taking evening credit classes, adult education classes or Continuing Education Work Ready programs.
Kelli Hill, vice president of continuing education and advancement, said students had requested a program like this, citing lack of child care as a barrier to taking classes.
