Dr. Michael Baston will be Cuyahoga Community College’s (Tri-C) next president, effective July 1.
Baston is currently president of Rockland Community College in New York, a position he’s held since 2017. Baston will replace retiring Tri-C president, Dr. Alex Johnson.
“Tri-C’s legacy of commitment to students and the community, and enormous regional economic impact is a testament to the extraordinary leadership both past and present,” Baston said. “I look forward to leading this vanguard institution toward a bold, bright and ambitious future.”
Baston is chair of the Black Male CEO Educators network and a member of the American Association of Community Colleges’ board of directors.
