HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke Community College health sciences program has just received a $1.6 million grant for health education.
The money will be used to train up to 75 community health workers at the Holyoke Health Center along with community facilities in Springfield and Greenfield.
“These folks can really connect with their peers in a way doctors can’t, nurses can’t pharmacies can’t, even social workers can’t,” Becky Lewis told 22News.
