Graduate Will Receive Diploma and Degree

The Labette County High School valedictorian will stand on the Harrison Auditorium stage at commencement May 14 to receive the award and give a speech, thanking those who helped the graduating seniors achieve their K-12 educational goals and encouraging peers concerning their future.

Skylar Burzinski, though she took honors courses since her freshman year and achieved straight A’s throughout high school, will not be honored as a salutatorian or valedictorian, as she was unable to complete one of the Kansas Regents Curriculum courses required for the honor.
