State Department of Education officials received Erie County’s application for a community college about a year ago today.
County officials were told at the time that the process of reviewing and approving the application would take about a year.
They’ll have to wait a little longer.
“The special committee continues to review materials and will make a recommendation at a state board meeting, the date of which hasn’t been finalized yet,” Eric Levis, press secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, said in an email to the Erie Times-News Tuesday.
