These are the phrases people often hear when discussing college students’ nutrition. But there’s another word Americans should probably be including: hunger.
Between 2008 and 2014 roughly one in five households with a student enrolled at a two-year college nationally experienced food insecurity, or struggled to regularly access enough affordable, nutritious food, according to an analysis published Tuesday by the Urban Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank.
