Alamo Colleges District trustee Denver McClendon plans to resign after 16 years on the board, halfway through his current six-year term.
“I would like the opportunity to do some other things, while I still can,” McClendon, 75, said Monday.
His term on the District 2 seat representing Northeast Bexar County ends in 2022, and the board now has the option of calling a special election or appointing a replacement until the next regular board election in May to fill the vacancy.
