CCRI faculty union is taking no-confidence vote in administration

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Community College of Rhode Island faculty union is taking a vote of no confidence in President Meghan Hughes.

The motion that faculty members are voting on says that Hughes, vice president of academic affairs Rosemary Costigan and Dean Thomas Sabbagh have each “repeatedly failed in their leadership roles at the college to the detriment of our students. They lack the competence and demeanor required to fulfill their leadership roles at the College and they should be removed from their positions of leadership.”

Voting on the motion will continue through Dec. 3.
