The former director of public safety at Greenfield Community College, Luis Santamaria, has settled a discrimination lawsuit against the college for $60,000.
Santamaria, who is Nicaraguan, was hired by Greenfield Community College in 2015. In a 2017 lawsuit filed in federal court against the college and its then-president Robert Pura, Santamaria said he was treated differently because of his Central American origins.
