Washtenaw Community College Proposes Outsourcing IT to Third Party

ANN ARBOR, MI – Two years after a three-day outage impacted Washtenaw Community College, the college is proposing to outsource its technology management services.

Outsourcing to Ellucian could save the college around $600,000 per year, WCC President Rose Bellanca said. But strains on staff during incidents like the 2017 outage were what prompted WCC to look into it, she said.
